The Alliance For Change has provided one year sponsorship to Patricia Peters to attend the Guyana School of Agriculture. The sponsorship takes care of all financial obligations of the student to the institution.
Ms. Peters who hails from Kumu in Region Nine gained entry to the School to pursue a Certificate in Agriculture.
Handing over the cheque to the student, Vice-Chariman of the AFC Moses Nagamootoo said it is a privilege for the Party to make the contribution so that Ms Peters can pursue her academic dream. He said the AFC is happy to lend the support since its sees the donation not only in terms of helping a young, female Amerindian to access higher education but also how that student will later on advance the development of her community and country.
Cathy Hughes who was also at the handing over of the cheque urged MS. Peters to diligently pursue her studies so that she can be a credit to all Amerindians, her community and country.
Ms. Peters expressed gratitude to the AFC for the support given and assured the Party she will work hard to be successful at her studies. [END]
