On Thursday the 3rd May 2012 a high ranking team from the Alliance For Change (AFC) consisting of Nigel Hughes and Gerhard Ramsaroop, met with the leadership of the Trade Union Congress at their offices in Woolford Avenue.
The meeting which lasted several hours included discussions on the state of labour relations in Guyana, the withholding of the Government subvention to the Critchlow Labour College (CLC), methodologies and synergies to improve and widen the operations of the CLC and ventures to improve the economic, educational and social wellbeing of Guyanese workers.
The AFC and TUC undertook to continue their engagement and to meet again shortly to expand on the development of areas of mutual interest.
