AFC Mourns Loss of Vic Persaud
The Alliance For Change (AFC) mourns the death of Eshwar Vevekanand ‘Vic’ Persaud, former Chief of Protocol, who passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021.
Vic Persaud was a consummate Public Servant who served nine Presidents, and the government and people of Guyana, without favour or ill will. He was humble, amiable and “down to earth” – always willing to share his vast knowledge and experience with new entrants into the public service, and even with elected officials.
Mr. Persaud will be remembered as a true example and embodiment of what the motto “service above self” means and should represent to a young and upcoming generation of Guyanese who aspire to serve their country.
The AFC extends condolences to the wife, children and family of Eshwar Vevekanand ‘Vic’ Persaud and pray that his soul will rest in eternal peace.
