On November  20, 2009  members  of the NY/NJ- AFC met with representative of the US State Dept. During the meeting several very important issues affecting Guyana and the Guyanese people were discussed.  These include crime, security, governmental corruption, human rights violations and the dossier on torture was presented. The meeting was well conducted and similar meetings are planned with other officials and agencies
