Alliance For Change congratulates Guyanese athletes attending the Carifta games.<\/p>\n
The Alliance For Change (AFC) extends heartiest congratulations to the young
\nathletes representing Guyana at the CARIFTA Games. Their performance has
\nbeen most outstanding, especially given the avoidable and unnecessary
\nchallenges the team faced enroute to the Games.
\nThese young Guyanese have proven the mettle of the Guyanese spirit of
\nresilience, that out of great adversity can come great strength. Their exploits at
\nthe Games have lifted the hearts of our people and buoyed our spirits.
\nThey inspire us especially young people keen on sports and athletics, to keep
\npressing forward to restore the pride of our nation.<\/p>\n
The AFC salutes each member of the Guyana team at the Games and calls on
\nthe Government to reward their outstanding and awesome performance with
\nscholarships, a house for each member of the team and cash incentives. They
\ndeserve nothing less from a proud and grateful nation.<\/p>\n
