AFC EXECUTIVE TO MEET TO DECIDE ON ACCEPTANCE OF LEADER’S RESIGNATION<\/p>\n
The General Secretary of the Alliance For Change has today received an updated letter purporting to be a letter of resignation, as Leader, and with immediate effect, from its Leader, Mr. Nigel Hughes.<\/p>\n
The National Executive Committee will be meeting in emergency session to discuss the ramifications and consequences of such a letter and will be encouraging Mr. Hughes to retract same. Should he remain adamant in his decision, then the Party’s constitutional provisions will be used to guide the way forward. It was only a few days ago that the National Executive Committee met and reposed fresh confidence in Mr. Hughes’ leadership.<\/p>\n
The Party thanks its members and supporters for their well-wishes and courage shown in the face of fortitude and challenges.<\/p>\n
