Aged 31, this mother of four is one of three women representing the Alliance For Change at the level of the National Assembly.<\/p>\n
Presently a Pharmacy Assistant at the Mahdia District Hospital in Region Eight, Mrs. Marcellos brings to the Assembly a wealth of experience in a number of areas including the impact of mining on communities and the environment, issues affecting Amerindian people especially women and education in hinterland communities.<\/p>\n
Her ability to speak fluent Patamona<\/em><\/strong> (Amerindian native language),<\/em> enables her to communicate on a personal level with many of the elder Amerindian people who have witnessed changes in their traditional way of life. It has also helped her to become a trusted representative of the Amerindian people.<\/p>\n Proud of her Amerindian heritage, Mrs. Marcellos has a vested interest in the sustainable development of Guyana.
